Stained Glass Bird Workshop
Join local glass artist Sarah Davis for a bird themed stained glass workshop and create a beautiful decoration to hang in your home or give as a gift.
With help from your experienced tutor and inspiration from the WWT birds you will design and make your own unique hanging using a variety of coloured glass and wire. You will learn how to cut glass, in colours of your choice, and to join it using copper foiling techniques, including soldering. It’s a lovely way to try out a new craft or build on existing skills in a relaxed small group setting.
Time: 9.30am - 4.30pm
Cost: £100 per person, including admission ticket to Slimbridge Wetland Centre and a £5 refreshments voucher to spend in the Kingfisher Kitchen or kiosks.
This workshop is suitable for beginners or for those with some glass working experience, but it is for adults only. Note that pregnant women are advised against working with stained glass materials.
All materials and equipment are included. Please wear closed shoes (not sandals) and bring your reading glasses if needed!
